High-Volume Geospatial Modeling
Our specialized team underwent rapid training on Sunsave’s proprietary rules covering panel fitting, shading analysis, and scaffolding banding. We committed to scoring an agreed number of addresses per day through a live spreadsheet system, ensuring Sunsave maintained a steady pipeline of qualified leads. Each day, our annotators performed virtual solar installations on numerous properties, applying complex technical criteria to determine viability.
Complex Rule Adherence
The core of our work involved intricate, specialized data modeling across multiple dimensions:
- Maximum Panel Placement: We designed optimal solar panel layouts with specific constraints including a maximum of 20 panels arranged in no more than 2 groups of 10, while carefully respecting exclusion zones, roof pitch requirements, and automatically disqualifying non-viable materials such as flat or metal roofs.
- Orientation Scoring: We prioritised south, southwest, and southeast-facing roofs to maximize solar efficiency, while automatically disqualifying north-facing placements that would yield insufficient energy production.
- Scaffolding Cost Estimation: We classified properties into specific cost bands including One Side, Two Sides, Easy Bespoke, and other categories based on roof lengths and physical obstructions. These classifications directly feed into the Plus Estimated Savings calculations that inform customer pricing.
Data Structuring and MQL Scoring
We extracted critical metrics including Annual Output, System Size, and Roof Azimuth from each property assessment, using them to calculate the final Irradiance score. Most importantly, we assigned the final MQL (Marketing Qualified Lead) Score of Excellent, Workable, or Poor based on complex criteria encompassing panel capacity, geographic location, and roof type. This scoring system enabled Sunsave’s sales team to immediately filter and prioritize leads, focusing their efforts where they would generate the highest conversion rates.
